BIX is a non-custodial digital asset wallet. We do not have access to your private keys, recovery phrases, or digital assets. This Policy applies to information we collect through the App, our website (bixpay.io), and related services.

2.1 Information You Provide
Account information: If you create an account or profile, we may collect your email address and display name.
Support requests: If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email, and the content of your communications.
KYC information: If you use features that require identity verification (such as card services), KYC is handled by our third-party partners directly. We do not collect or store identity documents.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device information: Device type, operating system, version, unique device identifiers, and language settings.
Usage data: App feature usage, interactions, session duration, and crash reports.
Network information: IP address, blockchain network interactions (public wallet addresses and transaction hashes that are already publicly visible on-chain).
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
Private keys or recovery phrases
Passwords or PINs (stored locally on your device only)
Contents of your digital asset holdings (we do not track balances server-side)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:

5. Blockchain Data
Blockchain transactions are public by nature. When you send or receive digital assets, your public wallet address and transaction details are recorded on the applicable blockchain and are visible to anyone. This data is not controlled by us and cannot be modified or deleted.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Specifically:
Usage and device data: Retained for up to 24 months, then anonymized or deleted.
Support communications: Retained for up to 36 months after resolution.
Legal/compliance records: Retained as required by applicable law.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
